Since his appointment in August 2001 Timo has been instrumental in driving Sulakes corporate vision of building stimulating, creative, social and non-violent concepts that inspire creativity. Leading 330 employees across 19 offices world-wide, Timo seeks to ensure the continued growth of Sulakes flagship property Habbo. A popular destination site for teens, Habbo is one of the worlds largest virtual worlds. Timo ensures that the evolution of this product via the development of new features and functionality maintains Habbos relevance to the target audience and advertisers. Timo is also responsible for the development of Sulakes plans for growth and expansion. In charge of identifying opportunities to exploit the solid infrastructure on which Habbo is built over 150 different payment channels, hosting capabilities and a global network of offices Timo managed the acquisition of IRC-Galleria. As one of the largest social networking sites in the Nordics, Timo will oversee plans for the internationalization of IRC-Galleria. Prior to joining Sulake, Timo worked for online recruitment company StepStone as Marketing Director for Finland and Sweden. He has over ten years experience and a proven track record in senior posts in both consumer and B2B marketing functions for international brands such as United Biscuits SCA Mlnlycke. Timo holds a M.Sc. (Econ.) degree in Marketing from Helsinki School of Economics.
